Some events pass unnoticed, and some become part of history forever. The 75th Anniversary of the Polish Students’ Association is a celebration for all those who have shaped academic culture for decades – not only within university walls but far beyond them.
This is not just a concert.
This is not just a gala.
This is a gathering of generations that together created one of the most vibrant and influential communities in the history of Polish academic life.
On April 17, 2025, at the Warsaw University of Technology, history will come alive once again.
We Are Not Revisiting the Past – We Are Reviving It
Student culture is more than just lectures and exams. It’s the late nights in clubs, the first festivals, the unforgettable concerts that changed lives. It’s creative energy, passion, and an unrelenting hunger for freedom that has found its expression through music, theater, cabaret, and literature.
The Polish Students’ Association was more than an organization – it was a movement that shaped Polish intellectual and academic culture. Within its framework, legendary spaces were created, birthing art and nurturing creators who are now regarded as the pillars of Polish culture.
Now, on the 75th anniversary of this movement, it all returns to the stage – in the best possible way.
A Musical Journey Through the Decades
This will not be just another concert. It will be a narrative of the student music scene, which for three decades has shaped the sound of academic culture.
The 60s–70s – Where It All Began
The first festivals, the first songs that said more than could be spoken outright. A time of discovery, authenticity, and youthful energy when the Polish student music scene began creating its own legends.
The 70s–80s – Revolution and Experimentation
A decade in which student songs became a space for freedom. Jazz, blues, sung poetry, ballads, cabarets – music spoke all the truths that could not be voiced openly.
The 80s–90s – Rebellion, Mood Shifts, and Iconic Hits
A time when everything was changing – culture, the country, people, and sounds. This was when academic stages filled with new waves of music, powerful lyrics, and songs that depicted reality exactly as it was.
And now, everything is coming back.
A Line-up Fit for Any Festival
On one stage, artists who have been part of the student movement for years will come together, bringing with them a legacy that remains as powerful as ever.
Renata Przemyk – Always independent, always genuine. A voice you recognize within seconds. Her songs are pure emotion – raw, honest, powerful.
Czerwony Tulipan – Sensitivity, lyricism, and an unmatched energy. Their ballads have been sung in dormitories, at festivals, and around campfires – and they are still sung today.
Andrzej Sikorowski – Every song is a small story – about people, places, and emotions. A rare kind of artist, appearing only once in a generation.
Maryla Rodowicz – There is no one like her. The queen of the Polish music scene, whose hits have been sung everywhere – from student clubs to the biggest festivals.
A Moment That Will Stop Time
One performance will bring the Warsaw University of Technology Auditorium to a standstill.
Elżbieta Wojnowska & The Warsaw University of Technology Choir – “Życie moje”
A voice that gives you chills, lyrics that hit deep. This won’t be just another performance.
This will be a tribute to all those moments when a song meant something more than just a melody.
A Host Who Brings Humor and History
It’s not just music that will make this evening special.
The event will be hosted by Artur Andrus, whose witty commentary will bring a unique charm to the night.
And when the music fades, the stories – real or not – will come from Andrzej Poniedzielski.
After the concert, the event will continue in the courtyard of the Warsaw University of Technology.
It will not be a formal meeting.
It will be a space where past and present students can share their stories, memories, and plans for the future.
